Schoolgirls are smokers, drinkers
- There are many conditional statements with relative likelihood
presented in this article. Choose two and write conditional probability
statements which express the relationships claimed.
- Devise a 2 x 2 table accounting for the 1400 girls in the
survey categorised by whether they smoked or not and by whether
they drank or not. (Two interpretations of the percentages given
are possible so explain your assumptions carefully)
- Determine if the events "smoked" and "drank"
are independent events.
