**Oh, just so close

The article covers many different aspects of mathematics, any of which can be used for lesson planning.

This is a good article to help students explore and understand the everyday usage of distance, time and speed and how the three interrelate.

Students will learn about how long it takes to travel a certain distance and if we vary the speed of travel, how this will then impact on how long it takes to travel that same distance.

We use these skills everyday when we travel from A to B. Teaching students how long a metre is (a stride) and how many metres make up 100m and then 100m x 10 = 1 km.

Division and multiplication can also be brought into solving
the questions that are asked.
