Odds of cancer shorten for tall

This article requires an understanding of odds to interpret the headline. Without previous experience students may be able to work out that "shorter odds" means that there is a higher probability of an event happening. In this case it is a greater risk of contracting cancer. There are many qualifications discussed in the article and students should consider these in making a decision, particularly with regard to too much food in childhood.

Pr (cancer|>180cm) = 1.36Pr(cancer|<=165cm).
