Girls as young as 12 have babies: study


The claims from this study certainly have more legitimacy than many others reported in newspapers. There is quite a clear description of where the data came from and their limitations.
The report is based largely on notifications from midwives and doctors around Australia.
Professor Lancaster said it was hard to evaluate how effective family planning services were as most states did not collect abortion statistics. Comments reflect the data collection:
