London ADULTERY is bad for the heart, according to a leading cardiac expert. Men face twice the normal risk of having a heart attack after making love. But this increases further for those who are cheating on their wives, particularly with younger women, he says. The physical strain on the heart is matched by the psychological anxiety of having the affair. Older men who make love to a younger woman they are not supposed to be with are at extra risk, Professor Lars Ryden the president of the European Society of Cardiology, told its congress. "The psychological situation is very problematic. "Scientifically, we know that the number of heart attacks and sudden deaths are more prevalent in these situations. About one in 100 attacks results from sexual activity when the heart rate increases to 120 beats a minute and blood pressure rises. The Daily Mail
