Weight guidelines
too lenient: study

United States federal guide-
lines on healthy weights for 
men and women are too lenient 
and may be encouraging Ameri-
cans to weigh too much accord-
ing to a new study. The study 
found that women of average 
weight in the US had a 50 per 
cent higher chance of heart 
attack than did women weighing 
15 per cent below average.
