So, who is the more popular - the Prince or Princess of Wales? According to statistics compiled by BBC-TV, Princess Diana's public appearances attract an average of 13.4 press photographers and 566 spectators. Photograph- ers bring an average of 8.5 stepladders to enable them to see the princess. Prince Charles, on average, draws 5.7 photographers and 134 spectators. Photo- graphers bring an average of 0.7 stepladders.
